28.Monkeys Stay Away from Mean People

Capuchin monkeys show biases against humans who deny help to others. This finding suggests that being able to identify undesirable social partners has ancient evolutionary roots. Given the choice to accept goodies from helpful and unhelpful people the Capuchin monkey avoided to receive help and goodies from those individuals who refuse to aid others, according to the recent study done and published by Nature Communications.“Humans can build up an impression about somebody just based on what we see,” says author James Anderson, a comparative psychologist at the University of Stirling. The results given by the Capuchin monkey suggests that this skills probably extends to other species which. In an interview Anderson said he chose to study the Capuchin monkey because of their highly sociable and cooperative instints .During the experiment it was shown that the monkey would observe the human behavior between who aided others and those individuals who did not aid anyone. when food from these two kinds of people were given to them it was shown that the monkey show more preference to the individuals that would help other individuals to do things such as opening a jar.

This article amongst other researches and studies of human behavior brings in the debate of evolution . The author describes percisely how the study was managed and why Anderson chose his pick of studying these specific monkeys. monkey are known to have similiar human caracteristics which give humans more reasons to study in depth the monkets behavior but Anderson gave a justification on why the Capuchin monkey would be more effective. The author quotes Anderson's idea to give a clear explanation and the diction in quite appropriate and narrates well with an enthusiastic tone about this research,

  1. Careful with the grammar, spelling and punctuation in your posts. Your assessment of the the article has good points but needs to be more specific in your examples. It doesn't has to be a long explanation but when you just throw out comments about diction and tone try to give one simple example of each to strengthen your conclusions.
